The mobile application «My Istanbul» is an offline travel guide with up-to-date and practical information in your iPhone.

Important note: the application is not a live guide, it will not walk for you, will not make you coffee or make a route for you, it is your help-assistant. You can use ready-made walking routes around the city (there are 5 of them in total). If you are not ready to use such an application, you’d better use the services of a live guide 🙂

At the moment, this is the best offline application that contains only the really necessary information about Istanbul. In the Appguide you will find not only general information about the sights and museums of Istanbul, but also those objects that tourists rarely visit, as many simply do not know how to get to them.

In addition, it contains metro and tram lines, places to visit near Istanbul, information about shopping (shopping malls, local brands, parfume and etc), local restaurants, cafes, markets and beaches.

The application will show your location (to do this, allow the definition of your location when using the program). The guide contains specific transport tips — how to get to different places by metro, tram or bus. Thus, you will just need to plan your route for the day, taking into account our tips. Then get on the right transport and drive to your destination. You will see on the map which metro stations and tram stops are located close to the attractions. The map with all the objects (cafes, shopping malls, attractions, children’s entertainment, metro stations and tram stops, etc.) works offline, so the application can be used in the absence of Internet access. A description of local cuisine, as well as Istanbul street food, will be very useful — it will make it easier to choose dishes in a cafe or restaurant, because you can view information about the dish in the application at any time. A short dictionary of basic Turkish phrases will help you navigate.

How can I download the MyIstanbul Guide App?

You can download the MyIstanbul Travel Guide application in the Appstore.

The information in the application is constantly updated, i.e. very often (for example, week). Therefore, periodically update the application using the Update Information button in the Settings section.

As a rule, after purchase, the full version of the app is downloaded automatically! If this does not happen, delete the app, download it again and click Restore purchase.

For Iphone

In order to avoid problems with the operation of the application — and most often this is the problem of an unstable Wi-Fi signal, when data does not have time to load due to an intermittent signal, if there are problems with the application, follow the instructions:

1. Delete the App from your phone, then on a stable Wi-Fi signal (this is important! If the signal is interrupted or weak during the download, the application will not work) download it again.
2. Launch the Application and click on the Get access to the full version button.
   In the screen that opens at the bottom right, click the «Restore purchase» button. After that, the content will start downloading and the Application should start working.
   In case of repeated problems, click the Software Support button in the app menu, we will try to answer your questions as soon as possible.

Family access

The App Store system provides family access for free versions of applications. In—app purchases and paid versions of apps are a separate feature that does not apply to all apps without exception.
